Elizabeth Broadbent

A late-diagnosed mama to three sons with ADHD, Elizabeth Broadbent (she/her) has written for ADDitude since 2016. Formerly a six-year staff writer for Scary Mommy, Broadbent has also written essays appearing in The Washington Post and Insider; her work can also be found on Yahoo News, MSNBC.com, Time.com, and the TODAY show. While she most recently discussed AI on BBC World News, Broadbent has also appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and NPR's All Things Considered. Her novella, Naked & Famous, publishes in July 2023 with ELJ Editions; her poetry chapbook, Wrapped in a Burning Flag, comes out in winter of 2024. Broadbent has also written numerous short stories, which can be found anywhere from the podcast Tales to Terrify to Wyldblood Magazine and Penumbric. She lives in Edgar Allan Poe's city with her patient husband, her sons, and too many notebooks.
